Information for Pre-Kindergarten Open Enrollment Applications:

3. You will receive emails from scribonline@scribsoft.com to notify you of the status of your order. It is important you read those emails carefully as additional information may be required to process your request.

Information for Applying:

This is an official application packet. The information contained in this online application packet should be considered private. 

Our office staff is pleased to serve parents wishing to apply to the Gaston County Schools Pre-Kindergarten Program. Children must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for placement in a Pre-K classroom:

The child must:

• Reside in Gaston County
• Turn four years old on or before August 31, 2023
• Turn in all required documentation
• Meet eligibility criteria

We are now completing applications online. This process will take approximately 20-25 minutes. To complete the online packet, we will ask you to upload required documentation. Please gather all required documentation prior to starting the packet completion process. You will need the following for EACH child you wish to enroll:

Required Documentation:

1. Valid ID of one Parent/guardian
2. Child's certified birth certificate
3. 1 Proof of address (We can accept utility bills in your or your spouse's name such as a recent: power bill, water bill, gas, internet, cable, lease, mortgage, rent statement, trash pick-up, etc)
4. Proof of Income for mom and dad or guardian if in the home, income is not required for a parent that is not in the home--if you are remarried we will need income information for Step-Dad/mom (You can use your 2022 tax records, W2's, or a months worth of pay stubs: if paid weekly we will need 4 recent stubs, bi-weekly we will need 3, twice-monthly we will need 2, and monthly 1)

Please Note Scanned copies of your child's up-to-date Immunization Record and Health assessment will also be required (You have 30 days from the time your child starts school to turn in the health documentation). The health assessment form is Available Here.
